Laboratorija za ambalažu i pakovanje osnovana je pre 50 godina u Novom Sadu i jedina je Laboratorija na Balkanu koja ispituje biorazgradivost, kao i funkcionalne osobine ambalažnih materijala i ambalaže. Laboratorija za ambalažu i pakovanje deluje u sklopu Tehnološkog fakulteta Novi Sad.
Osnovana je davne 1971. godine a dugi niz godina, sve do odlaska u penziju, u oktobru prošle godine (2020), Laboratorijom je rukovodila prof. dr Vera Lazić, redovni profesor Novosadskog Univerziteta kada je kao rukovodilac imenovana doc. dr Senka Popović.
Laboratorija obavlja vizuelna, senzorska, dimenziona, fizička, hemijska, mehanička i strukturna ispitivanja ambalažnih materijala i ambalaže od metala, stakla, papira i kartona, plastike, višeslojnih i kombinovanih materijala , kao i ispitivanja biorazgradivosti plastičnih kesa.
